2020 Holiday Gift Guide

What a year it’s been, friends. Somehow (seriously, how?) we’ve made it to December, and I think we could all use a little bit of holiday cheer, yes? Look no further, my annual gift guide is here! As always, I’ve personally curated this list of my very favorite things for the food obsessed, the homebodies (aka everyone these days, amiright), the busy moms and the eco-conscious. I personally own and love many of these items, and others are things I’d be super excited to receive. Happy shopping! I’m so impressed by the resiliency we’ve shown this year. Together, we are getting through this. I’m wishing all of you a beautiful, healthy holiday season and a brighter 2021.

Burlap and Barrel

Burlap & Barrel Spices – Fundamentals Collection – I’ve been enamored lately with Burlap & Barrel Spices – they stock the highest quality single-origin spices that I’ve tried. They work directly with small farmers around the world, and their packaging is not only pretty, but also eco-friendly. I’m gifting their Fundamentals Collection set this year, as well as buying a few individual spices as stocking stuffers.

Oh She Glows for Dinner

Oh She Glows for Dinner You all know I’m a bit of a cookbook collector, and while I love all of my books, once in a while, I’ll get one that I can tell will earn a special place on my bookshelf. Oh She Glows For Dinner by Angela Liddon is that kind of cookbook. Angela’s recipes are trusted and beloved by many, and her latest tome is big, beautiful, and full of things you’ll want to cook and eat every day of the week.

LL Bean Women’s PrimaLoft Packaway Hooded Jacket – I love outerwear and this LL Bean jacket is the newest addition to my closet. I’m obsessed! It’s stylish, lightweight, down-free and most importantly, really warm. I got the hooded version for extra blustery or rainy days. They also make these for men and kids, so everyone in the family can have one!

Williams Sonoma Calabrian Chiles in Oil – These are one of my desert-island condiments and I keep these in my pantry at all times. I’ve tried other jarred Calabrian chiles and Williams Sonoma’s are, by far, the best. They are the perfect amount of spicy and taste fantastic on just about everything. My favorite applications are on pizza, pasta, and burgers. They’re really good mixed into Vegenaise (or other vegan mayo) as a dip for french fries or as a sandwich spread. They make a perfect stocking stuffer for anyone who enjoys spicy things, Italian gourmet items, or good food in general.

Ooni Pro 16 Multi-Fuel Pizza Oven – If you follow me on Instagram, you know I make pizza at home every week. It’s a beloved tradition that my husband and I started when we first met and carries on to this day. After perfecting our method in our home oven, we agreed that it was time to up the ante and spring for a pizza oven. I researched our options and settled on the Ooni Pro – it was at an attainable price point and I love that it can run on multiple fuel sources. I also wanted something big enough to fit a large pie. If you love fluffy, chewy, charred thin crust pizza (and really, who doesn’t?), you’ll love the Ooni.

The Results Journal by Kris CarrKris Carr is a special lady – I’ve been a fan of her work for years (her 21 day wellness program, Crazy Sexy You, is transformative!), and now we are long time work partners! She is as kind and inspiring in real life as you’d hope. Her Results Journal is something that I use every day so I knew it had to have a place in my Gift Guide. It helps center me before busy mornings (the gratitude prompts are my favorite), track healthy habits, and stay focused to achieve my goals.

Fellow Grey Stagg EKG Electric Kettle with Wooden Handle  – I’ve been admiring this beautiful electric kettle and think it would look lovely in almost any kitchen. It’s perfect for the tea or pour-over coffee lover in your life.

In the Soulshine “Save the Planet” Sweatshirt In the Soulshine is one of my favorite vegan brands, and I own several of their tees – the fit and design are the best! This sweatshirt is super cute and cozy, and its message is simple, yet powerful.

ROEN Amber Jar Candle – Ojai Nuit – I love a good candle, and I’m always on the lookout for something that smells great, looks pretty, and, most importantly, is nontoxic and vegan. ROEN are small batch candles made in LA that use coconut wax and cotton wicks. My favorite scent, Ojai Nuit, comes in a lovely amber jar and has the intoxicating scent of balsam fir, fig leaf, sandalwood and amber – I love lighting it after the kids go to bed during cozy nights at home.

Melissa Wood Health Annual Subscription – I’ve been looking to incorporate movement into my days but, as a mother who is also running a business, I typically find it impossible to make time for exercise on a consistent basis. This spring, I started the Melissa Wood Health method and it has been my saving grace! Her workouts (a combination of pilates, yoga and stretching) are super short yet effective, and I actually find myself looking forward to getting onto the mat. Her guided meditations are great, too.

For Life Curve Tall Tea Mug with Infuser and Lid – I’ve always been a tea drinker, but I recently made the switch to loose leaf and I’m loving it – it tastes better and I like the ritualistic nature of steeping loose leaf tea. Plus, it’s kinder to the earth (less packaging/waste). I drink my tea every day out of a mug/infuser set just like this one. Right now, I’m loving this Green Sencha Tea for its health benefits and yummy grassy flavor

Starpack Nylon Kitchen Knife Set (for kids!) – For the littlest chef(s) in your life! I got my daughter a set of these nylon knives a few years ago and now she loves taking part in meal prep! The set includes a few different sizes, and they are as durable as they are safe.

ProLon Fast – 5 Day Fasting Mimicking Diet Meal Kit – I’ve documented my experience with the plant-based ProLon Fasting Mimicking Diet a couple of times this year on Instagram. After much research into the fast, I became increasingly impressed and excited by its ability to support the body’s natural processes of intracellular clean up and cell renewal. The program is very doable, and I felt great both times I completed the fast. This would be a great gift to yourself to starting off 2021 as healthy as possible, or for anyone in your life who could use a reboot.
